Reune Medicine was born as a space for healing and change.
The name Reune (“ree - YOON”) came from reflecting on our multidimensional lives and the words “reunite” and “reunify.”
Reune invites us back into generative connection with ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us.
my story
Hi, I’m Thea. I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine after six years of study with a Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine specialization in 2022.
But I began my journey to Reune Medicine as an educator.
For nearly 15 years, I worked with schools in different parts of the world, in classrooms ranging from the traditional academic setting to full experiential immersion. I spent many years living and traveling through remote places with groups of students, teaching everything from environmental science to leadership. As a guide and facilitator, I’ve always focused on environmental and social awareness. My students emerged with a greater sense of themselves, care for their interactions, and respect for and connection to the natural world.
Now as a practitioner, I unify my skills as an educator and East Asian medicine practitioner with my values. I apply a weight-neutral, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, and social justice-informed lens, and I am constantly working to recognize the privileges I hold and the context that I bring to any environment and interaction.
